Capitol Management Corporation was founded twenty-six (26) years ago by L. Peyton Harris, Jr., CMCA
®, CPM®, President. Mr. Harris has been involved in community association management in the Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Maryland areas for the past forty (40) years, He is a nationally recognized expert in condominium and homeowner association management and has lead some of the area’s major companies in this field prior to establishing Capitol Management Corporation.

The firm specializes in Full Service Management and Financial Management & Consulting services for condominium and homeowner association communities in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. In the early 1990’s Capitol Management Corporation set the standard for pro-active management by implementing innovative management systems, administrative calendars, responsive avenues for interaction with homeowners, and tracking systems that are in used by most community association management firms today.

Our CEO, Peyton Harris, has been a leader in the Community Association Institute, having chaired the Education Committee; serving on CAI’s Panel of Experts (Management); and as a Speaker on seminars on Ethics and Budgeting. He also has served as the President of the Property Management Association (PMA) and President for Virginia of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). Mr. Harris inspires the Property Managers, General Managers, and staff to further enhance their careers and better their service to our client communities by encouraging all to continue their professional education in pursuit of obtaining the professional designations offered by CAI and IREM such as the PCAM®, CMCA®, AMS®, and CPM®.
